Nice looking auction, nice looking truck. It seems like a lot of truck at the BIN. I'm a little iffy on the reserve auctions: with over 700 lookers in the first couple of days, you are going to get market value. But with a reasonable BIN, nobody should have to wonder too much what the reserve is. I have been looking at '98 12Vs. The price difference is shocking.

Hang in there, keep answering the silly questions, and you will get you bidder. It just takes one buyer, and one more to bid against him.

Good luck.

Sweet looking ride you have there. Wish I had some extra cash.

Don't worry about those that want to know what the reserve is. If they want the truck, they will buy it. The idea of them harassing yo about it just means they want it for cheap. NOT Happening. HOld out for all you can get, as the truck is worth it. I would have had the BIN option at a higher price though, with the low mileage and condition. Good Luck

I thought it was sold the first go around but it was a deadbeat bidder, then yesterday a dude cussed me out for being too proud to take 6k cash, I must regret that I lost my cool during that email swap and very unproffesional words were spoken. People keep emailing thinking i'm some kind of diesel guru and i keep telling them that what i know i got from YOU fellas on here just by reading. Thanks for the kind words.

then yesterday a dude cussed me out for being too proud to take 6k cash,

There are some unbelievably stupid people out there. My Daddy said that it takes all kinds to make a world. Well I think we could do without some of those kind.

My low miles truck (135k) is functionally as good as yours but needs a windshield and paint. I would not take 8 for it. Let the cheap skate buy a beater and bring it to the level of yours. To ____ with em. (Add your favorite expletive)

There is a guy here in Georgia that wants mine, I'll show him your auction.

NICE looking rig. Almost identical to (now) Mom's when I bought it in late 99, with ironically, the same miles on it. Hers isnt that clean now, though.

Hang in there. You'll get what it's worth. If someone cusses at you for refusing their ridiculous offer, offer to help them find a beater (I have 2 right now), and let them put the time and effort into getting it back to what yours is.

Mine is rough, needs paint, a clutch, transmission, possibly a head gasket (have a leak that comes and goes), and it'd still take $4-5K to take it home, depending on my mood at the time.

Turn him into ebay. And don't forget to add his user ID to your blocked bidder list. You don't want any jerks like that bidding on any thing you own, wven if he offers you the BIN price you will NEVER make him happy and it will be a nightmare. Trust me I know I've been into ebay for a while and seen all kinds. NICE truck, good luck w/ the auction, try to get a deposit ASAP it keeps the buyers remorse to a minimum if the bidder knows he looses a few hundred for backing out. And if you don't want to disclose the reserve don't. It's a business transaction... . your price it YOUR business and what some one wants to bid it THEIR business, period.

Trying to low ball a seller is the way some people think they can make a deal.

Before I bought my truck, I had a 91 Subuaru Legacy, just a beater car really. Well I have a For Sale sign on the back window for 1000 obo.

Guy passed by the house and saw it, tried to give me 500 for it... . like actually opened his wallet and handed me $500. I laughed at him... and after him "driving me down", I got $750 for it... which is actually what I wanted for it. :D Gave that $$ to the bank as part of the down payment on the truck.

I don't mind people low balling, heck i do it, but don't cuss out the seller when he says no, i don't mind giving back the deposit if the buyer is not fully satisfied, i'm not in that big of a hurry but more important, i want them to be happy with what they bought because i know they're getting an excellent product.
