Finally got rid of the muffler

I wish I hadn't waited so long. The sound is great and the spool-up is much improved. EGTs are down slightly. Had 157k on the stock system. I just used a 5' section of straight 3" pipe.



I travel 70mph at 2000 rpm and 500-550 egt. I can start to hear the exhaust at about 1750 rpm, but it can't compete with the higher-pitched clatter coming from the engine compartment.



Not bad for $20 worth of pipe.

I got the pipe from a truck parts place nearby and fitted the pipes and mig welded them together. I started at the bottom of the downpipe and put the resonator at the rear of the cab. You'll really like it!

It's a wonderful experience the first day drivin' around with some noise isn't it boys?!
