Well, I've been home from Iraq for about a month, and I'm finally getting some work done on my truck  .

I ripped out the factory stereo and installed a Pioneer/Sony/JL Audio/Kicker, conglomeration that sounds really good. Then I ripped out the factory air box and installed a BHAF. Since I will probably never be able to afford a set of Rickson wheels :{ , I bought a set of simulators for it. While I was paying for the simulators, I spotted some LED marker lights, so I replaced all my factory sealed beam marker lights, and my tail light bulbs with LED's. I'm still looking for some amber LED bulbs for the front turn signals.

Then I sent my truck down to the local tint shop to have the windows tinted by a profesional installer. Whoever had done it last obviously wasn't very good at it. I lucked out big time, and found a leather seat out of a '97 sport 1500 in the local junk yard that was in perfect condition, so I snatched it up for $200. Oo. I fabricated a bracket for it and installed it using the factory slide rails in one afternoon. The 4" exhaust took me two days  and I wasn't sure I was gonna finish it at all, but i finally got it together. A black Delta "coffin lid" tool box from Tractor Supply finishes up the list of mods so far, but I still have a few projects planned like fabbing a grill guard and headache rack, and putting in an over head console, and re-doing the headliner. I'm short on time these days, so it will have to be some long term projects

Welcome back to the world, and thanks for your service in Iraq. That's a sharp looking truck you got there. Sounds like you're catching up for lost time with it!! You really lucked out on those seats. You could probably turn around and sell those things for $500. Do they fit in there welll, or are they cramped as far as the leg room goes??

AJ

Do the LEDs cause any interference on the am side of the radio? My truck at work had LEDs and it messes with the reception.

By the way welcome back and thank you for your service. It is much appreciated by me and my family.

The seats fit in the cab very nicely. With the way I built the bracket, they sit 1" higher than the stock bench, but it has full adjustment front to back with the stock sliders, so I can slide them all the way back with no loss of leg room.

I never listen to AM, so I don't know if they cause interference or not. I'll have to check on it and get back to ya.

How do you like the LED replacements so far? Are they bright enough?

I love the LED's, but they are expensive and you really have to replace them all or it looks funny because they are so much brighter than regular bulbs. Thanks for the link. They have exactly what I'm looking for, and the price looks better than the local Autozone.

MAN they need to lock you up for stealing those seats!! $200??!! Man around here the clothe seats run that price, lucky dog:D. Love the Ram logo on them, sweet.

Yeah, I originally went to the junkyard browsing for a regular cloth 2nd gen seat for around $200 that I could get reupholstered in leather for another $400 or so, but I saw these seats, and my jaw literally hit the floor when the guy told me he would pull the seat out for me for $200. :--) I must have looked like a fool grinning all the way home with my new seats in the bed. :D :D
