Had to chime in! Mine is on the rail also and due in Tulsa on Tuesday the 20th. Since the dealer is nearby (Bartlesville) I'm hoping to take delivery maybe late next week. Oo. Hopefully the paint audit delays have been addressed and things will move quicker now.

4 STICK...

I used the url poste elsewhere (for tracking the truck) and in the empty block typed in the rail car # and then clicked on the trace. It told me when it was loaded and when it would/had arrived at the dist point. .

Also, to our knowledge, all the HD Dodges (2500/3500) are only att built in Mexico.

Thanks Ben:

I think I have figured it out. It has been sitting in Waco Tx. all day!

And I thought I had patience !

Bill,

Nice truck... it is just like mine. I picked mine up about 2 weeks ago. Compared to my 97, it is like comparing night and day. I'm just waiting for some money to come in to get some more power out of this truck... . 305 horses are good, but I was used to the 450 HP I had in the 12V. :D Enjoy the truck. . these thing are a blast to have.

AKsmoker,

I installed the Happijac tie down system Saturday. Easy install with good instructions and all the necessary hardware is included. It took me a little more time than the time quoted by my Lance dealer; however, I saved a few $$ and didn't have to wait for an appointment. This was the first time I installed the Happijacs and I was extra careful when drilling the holes in the bed to make sure it was right. I also installed the Lance camper guides in the bed. It took longer bolts than in the '00 truck I removed them from. Everything on these '03s is different!!

The camper clears the cab fine, but it's very close on the bed rails at the rear. The '03 bed sides are tapered and are higher at the rear. I didn't have a thick rubber bed mat under the camper yesterday, but will have one in place before the first trip which will give a bit more clearance, but it isn't a problem. The tie downs do not interfere with the fuel tank door.

The fresh water connection is close to the dually fender on the left side. I cannot use the quick disconnect hose connection anymore.

Without the air bags, the truck sets level front to rear; however, I will install the Air Lift 5000 air bags with the in cab controller in a couple of days. The Rancho 9000s aren't available on the '03 2-wheel drives yet so I'm stuck with the OEM shocks for now.

Greg,

Congratulations on the twins!:cool::cool:

I'd like to do that too, but I haven't won the lotto!! A six shooter for me and the 48RE for my wife!:D :D :D

Its on the way! Mine and Lance's are in the states! Due to hit the terminal in Mesquite Saturday evening. That's if the info is good. Hopefully I'm able to take delivery the 2nd when I get back from AZ.

Patience is hard to come by right now, I want my new truck.

Heck the attack dog might get the co-pilot seat... ... ... . watch out. :) From Darrens post it appears that our trucks are in route to Mesquite TX... ... ... I cant wait. Wish I could pick it up at the rail-yard in Mesquite!!!! I am dyin over here. Still going to have a hard time letting loose of my old truck... ..... its been a great truck. :( I guess I will get over it as soon as I am rollin down the road in my new vehicle. MINE's HERE!

MINE's HERE!

The train arrived in Tulsa at 5:46 this morning. I figured it would sit there at least a couple of days, but the dealer called this evening and said they received it about 6:00 (amazing). We will pick it up tomorrow evening.

I think i'm getting moist!

Southbound,

I got it figured out... Janet driving, the attack weenie dog in the copilot's seat, and me in the back for a snooze!! :D

Bill

BTW, I got the air bags on today. It was a fairly easy install since the Air Lift 5000s are a "no drill" installation. I used the compressor, gauges, and in cab controls from the '00 truck which took more install time than the air bags themselves.

Bill

Stick, where is your dealer located? Mine arrived in Tulsa with yours and will end up in Bartlesville (about 40 min. north). I was just wondering who you ordered from. Hopeful that mine will be on the dealer's lot today!Oo. Let me know, and Thanks.

If I won the lotto, I'd order a "6 shooter" for myself. :D

I might be interested in the Smart Box for the 48RE in combination with a PacBrake. Being able to get lockup in 2nd gear and hold lockup to speeds lower than 40-45 MPH would be helpful.

I want to take a trip to Colorado hauling the Lance to see how badly I need the exhaust brake. Really see how good those big disk brakes stop!! Also I want to see how this truck goes over Raton and LaVeta Passes.

Barry,

The paint fiasco is supposedly over and yours shouldn't take long. Congratulations on your order!!

Hey, with the 3. 73 you can still drag those big 5th wheels... spend more time in 5th gear, but with that quiet engine you won't even notice!!

Bill

Bill,

I live in Trinidad and I'm curious to know how well your truck does going over both Raton and LaVeta Passes. I don't think you should have any problems with the brakes since they are so huge. If you have any spare time and I'm available you should stop in Trinidad and maybe we could do lunch or dinner or something. Let me know...

Joe

Joe,

Thanks for the invitation. The next time we are in the area, I'll give you a call(I'll sent you a PM). We've spent the night at the state park just outside of Trinidad.

Yep, I am going to try the truck/camper combination without the exhaust brake first and see how it works. I really needed the brake when we towed a 31' 2 slide 5th wheel, but we have down-sized to the just the Lance... over 10,000 lbs less GCW!!

Bill

I noticed that on the 11. 5". Any idea as to how much lube the 11. 5 will hold with a Mag-Hytec>

My Grandson just installed the Amsoil 74W-90 synthetic gear lube and Mag-Hytec cover on his 03' CTD. The rear took 7 Quarts to full mark on the stick.

OK, while you guys are sitting around picking lint out of your navel waiting on the dealer to call, pls. answer these ????

1) Have they got the EZ worked out for these trucks yet?

2) Anyone know the part # for the Westin Nerf bars for the QC?

3) Who has the best deal on the Mag-Hytech cover for the '03?

4) " " " " " " an exhaust brake?

5) Does the rear end lube still have to changed before towing?

6) So far there is $2000 rebate, $750 Vet. , $750 Dodge trade, anything else??? Hoping for $1000 dealer cash but haven't heard yet... ... ... ... ... ... ... .
