Put a PDR HX40 with a 16cm waste-gated and what a difference!
I was definitely starving for air at 7300'. Even told the wife the truth about it.
She also understands it will make a good start on twins when funds allow. I've heard all the pros and cons of the HX40 but decided to go that route with a Piers unit.
Many thanks to Reb Brown in Riverdale, CA for sharing his knowledge and selling me everything needed to do the install.
Also found the flapper on the exhaust brake was partially closed. Would of never thought to check this before. The PDR35 has been an awesome and tough unit for the last 10k. Temps are down 150-350deg depending on situation. Finally some air at elevation. Can't wait to go for a good run over some of the passes.
