Modded CP3 Information Update

Challenge for aftermarket companies

Well I'll test one & give you all dyno reports. I made 685 with DDP injectors, PPE stacked with a TST, PDR cam & towing twins [HX35/14 BHT3B/26]. Are you up for that? Not asking for a freebie, I'll pay my way. I'll also hook up the DRB and give everyone rail pressure results.

Oo. The testing offer from Piers can't come anymore straight-up & to-the-point than this.

I would think that we'd all be interested in seeing the results!!!!

diesel power,

question... ... . are you in anyway related or linked with Dr. Performance?

If you are then I will stop following this thread. :-laf

but really this sounds to good to be true! or is it just me?

anyway looks like sticking a p-pump on the 3rd gens will not be needed Oo.

waiting and watching

ps if you let piers test one for you with positive results you will be in the $$ we trust piers like no one else on this board

no i am not related or linked to dr "p", though i did have someone that works there try to get proprietary answers from me!!!!!--------I'm thinkin... ... ..... NO :-laf

and yes there is good reasons for the piers testing!!=POWER!!! :--) :-laf

just wanted to clear some things up!!!

if you have stock injectors that are honed you can use them with the stage 1. BUT NOT WTH A PRESSURE BOX!!! you MUST have aftermarket injectors that can handle at least 32,000K PSI if you want to use a PRESSURE BOX, the consistent volume and peak pressure will nuke the stock injectors!!!!!! just wanted you to know before it was too late :-{} , i thought i was clear on that, if you have more questions plese ask before you buy. thanks :-laf :-laf

Where can one get these "aftermarket" injectors that will handle 32k psi?

Most vendors just modify used Bosch stuff and call it "their" brand.

KERMA DONT YOU MAKE INJECTORS? :D IF YOU NEED THEM WE HAVE SOME THAT WILL HANDLE IT WELL. THEY COME IN TWO TYPES 60 HP OR 80 HP! THEY ARE A BALLANCED AND MATCHED TYPE FOR OUR CP3. THANKS :-laf

Rail pressures are going to spike when you lift off the throttle, the higher the RPM at which you lift off will also dictate on how high it will spike. I have found that the DRB tool will not allways show this as to it happens too fast.

I had a custom 40,000 psi transducer with digital gauge built 2 1/2 years ago and it shows everything. On the dyno I've seen as high as 39,000 psi spike on a very hard run. All trucks will have a spike when you shut the truck off and the pressure sensor will lose power and not show it, mine idle's at 5350 psi and spike's to 17,000 psi when I shut it off. So far I have not had any leaks anywhere for the last 1 1/2 years. This is with my CP3 modded pump ;)

Theres No Way You Can Get Pressure Like That With The Stock Relief Valve!!!!! Thats Why We Have The Cap And Yes He Probably Uses One! Thanks

remember that at stage 2-3 we are having a hard time finding air to burn all this fuel,

I've got a set of little Twins that seem to burn fuel ok... :-laf Just watching the thread.

:D me too! 40-16, 3b-26

I just read though 7 pages of this thread and I found no conclusive information to curb the skeptic side of me. I read a lot of one man's opinon but nothing more. If these things have been in use on sombodys truck for 9 months I think it reasonable to expect to see a dyno sheet, track time, or at least a little carrot you can dangle in front of me to get me to turn my head. As of right now there's nothing in this thread worth reading.

I would be interested in knowing if Diesel Power builts these CP3's himself?

I apologize if that question was already asked/answered earlier - I mean I know I read that he gets them from NADP, but does he get them and THEN mod them... OR does he get them already modded?

FIRST, I ALREADY SAID THAT THE DYNO CHARTS ARE ON THERE WAY TO ME FROM CANADA ALONG WITH ALL THE OTHER THINGS YOU GUYS ARE WHATING FOR , PRODUCTS AND PRICING, AND NO I DONT BUILD THEM MY SELF-NADP IS DOING THE MODS! IT WASNT MY CALL TO PULL IT OFF THE MARKET! LIKE I SAID THE DEMAND WAS ALOT MORE THAN INTICIPATED ALSO YOU ALL WANTED A "PACKAGE DEAL" SO THATS WHAT WERE GETTING READY FOR, NOT TRY ING TO BE RUDE BUT I GAVE YOU WHAT I HAD. NEXT WEEK OR SO YOU WILL HAVE ALL THE PRICES AND PRODUCTS AND EVEN DYNO TEST'S (INCLUDING PIERS) YOU COULD STAND---THIS IS NO GIMMIC SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE THEM! BUT BECAUSE OF THE CORROSPONDING PRODUCTS INVOLVED THEY CANT YET POST ON THE PRODUCTS, UNTILL WE ARE READY FOR DEMAND! SORRY BUT I THOUGHT I ALLREADY WENT OVER THIS. THANKS :-laf :-laf
