Just put it on tonight and drove it and was pretty impressed. I have not done the boost elbow as I just wanted to see what it was like.

(Of course I find a post when I get home about the EZ frying 1999 VP44's so that make me feel real good, NOT! But oh well, it is too late now... I am my own warrente station. ) :)

2 questions remain. I guess the check engine light does not come on for all codes. This seems really stupid but it is true? Second can you put too much dielectric grease on the connectors. I really slaped it on as I don't want problems and I hear about people having to clean them and all. I figure I want them sealed. :)

Thanks again for all the help,

Ira

Yeah, the check engine light will still work. As for the dielectric grease, I wouldn't worry. As you push the connectors together, the excess should get squeezed out

Most people will tell you if your vp44 is going to fail after installing a fueling box, it will usually fail within a few miles. If it has not failed within 15 minutes or so, then you should be okay.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? I would monitor the FP very carefully since it lubricates the vp44.

Drove the truck to work today

With the camper on it...

I must say that although it is cooler around here I did see increased power. I am not making big power claims but I can see I am going to like the performance much better. I will do the boost elbow tonight if I get home in time.

You guys are all great, thanks again,

Ira
