Now that '04 Ram is suppose to be here this week, I need to look at financing.

Since I'll be taking the rebate and not the apr incentive, I'm thinking I will do better going outside the dealer. And then going to the dealer with my financing in hand and see if they can beat it.

What rate do you think I should be able to get with a FICO score of over 700?

TIA.

I had always financed mine through the credit union but the 03 was thru DC. They found me 3. 4 thru Chase bank on this one. I think the credit union was down to 3. 6. I took my 2500 rebate + 500 rebate with Farm Bureau. Saved a few $$$

I'd always been in the same boat as Larry. All my other trucks were financed through one of the credit unions I belong to. This time Dodge was able to beat them, 3. 49% so I went with that. With a score over 700 your dealer should be able to find you a rate around 3%.

Forgot to add that I also got the rebates, 2500 and 400 College Grad, still working on getting the Farm Bureau or Commercial. I had a coupon for the College Grad so they did that on the spot. What do I need to get the Farm Bureau? Do I get something from the Farm Bureau or should they just want to see my membership card?

Score for Motorhead

The "score" is calculated by ones timeliness of making payments when due. My score is close to 800 and it's very easy to get credit. Your score comes with a credit check.

FICO is Fair, Isaac & Co. They are the owners/inventors of the most widely used credit scoring system. Most lender uses their system to check if one is credit worthy, so if your planning getting any kind of loan, check your FICO score. All 3 of the major credit bureaus allow you to purchase a FICO score when you pull your credit thru them. You can get more info and purchase your FICO score at http://www.myfico.com . But instead of buying you FICO score directly from FICO, Your better off going to the credit bureaus to purchase from. The reason for that is because if there are any inaccuracies in your report, you can then dispute.
