I could use a little help as a new diesel owner.

Trying to find an oil sample pump. How can I get the sample out.

Trying to locate a lite for under the hood and hood insulaton.

Trying to find a good bypass filter kit.

A locking tailgate kit

As for oil sampling most folks will put a sampling valve in-line somewhere in the by-pass system to make taking a sample easier. If you put your return line in the filler cap you could remove the cap and take a sample right there.

There are a number of advertisers on this site with by-pass filters, check the banners and Links. I installed an Amsoil system myself, if you decide on that brand we have a member who would be happy to answer all of your questions. His name is Wayne and he goes by amsoilman on the boards. He has pictures and installation instructions posted, I bet that he'd even be happy to sell you everything you need. He is a good guy.

I read a post the other day about the underhood insulation. Someone (Ican't rember his name) is working on that, it may become avalable soon, either on this site or from Geno's

Underhood light- Get one of those crappy lights that DC used on some of the earlier trucks and install it yourself, or you could find one of those 12v floriscent drop lights that you can hook to your battery terminals

Pace-Edwards makes several tailgate locks they even make one that plugs into your wiring harness and oerates off of your electric door locks
