Just Picked up a 06 Diesel dodge 2500 HD. Can anyone tell me how i find out about the rear axle, size, ratio, and limeted slip or not? my fuel mileage has been showing in the 13-15 range, seems low. wanted to see what rear it has. thanks

sorry, forgot to mention there is no sticker in the glove box or inside the door jam. . only stickers are for the tire pressures.

Unless it's been changed it probabbly came with a 3:73 ratio and a trak-lock LS, I believe it's called. If you provide a VIN to a dealer they can verify it. The LS in these trucks now is a gear type LS which has been around for years and was orginally refered to as a Tru-track.

thanks for the info. . i just figured there was a tag or sticker i could look up. I'll have to go the vin route. anyone know where i can run it? thanks

Give us a speed and RPM and what gear you are in (also need to know transmission) and I can figure out the ratio, assuming that you have stock tires.
