The quality of the kit is incredibile. That being said, DPP is perhaps the hardest company to get a hold of and decipher clear instructions ever :-{}

I ended up just having to figure it out. My truck is an 04. 5 with the in tank lift pump conversion, so there were some trial and error issues I had to solve.

I had myself and two employees helping out on the install. If you have the resources and the space I highly recommend removing the bed. I have an aux fuel tank and a b&w turnover so I had a fair amount of stuff to take out before the bed came off. We started at 8:30am and had the bed off by 10:45am.

For the sake of last minute thinking I had emptied the majority of fuel from my aux. tank to my main tank for easy removal of the aux tank, not even thinking about having to drill my tank (FASS 150 with 1/2 ss pick up tube) so I ended up pulling the lift tank/fuel heater/level indicator to siphon out fuel.

Once the fuel was low enough I stuck a paint mix cup (1 quart) under the area to drill to catch the trash and began drilling.

The most confusing part of the install was trying to find the electrical connection on the engine side where the lift pump used to be.

Bled the air out of the system and got it to fire. Reinstalling the bed was fun, kind of like trying to climb down a mountain the same way you climbed up #@$%! Got the bed on and everything reinstalled.

Perhaps the longest part of the entire day was reinstalling my valley hitch (I haul pintle hitch trailers every once in awhile that weigh in at 6k-10k and the factory was a touch weak looking). Now why Valley makes this kit this way, I have no idea and if I didn't need it, it would have gone in the scrap pile.

Truck is more responsive, temps seem to be down a good bit and I don't have a level 4/x bog like I used to with the TST. The truck flat out gets with it, but I do need a bigger turbo :-laf

All in all what I was told would take 4-6 hours took near 10 but it's worth not having to deal with a weak lift pump. I just wish that DPP was getaholdable of. Called a couple friends that own Diesel performance shops and not a one had done a converted 04. 5 in tank truck. So if anyone has this done and is installing a FASS, shoot me a PM.
