he service manual is probably the best bargain you can make as far as these trucks are concerned. It will pay for itself the first time you fix something instead of taking it to the dealer. Of course, you gotta use if you have it. :rolleyes::-laf
 
I unplug the heater every spring and plug it back in in November. A couple of summers ago I was checking the heater and found it was still coming on in 80º temps outside . I could'nt believe it.

Did you pull the relay or diconnect it at the heater??

I saw those numbers posted for a '93. The Cummins parts guy here shows them for a VE pump engine but not the P7100 pump engine. Are they the same for a P7100 engine?
 
Don't know Joe, but I've used these numbers on the P pump trucks, so I'm guessing the same.



I did run into a problem on a 98 12v. once that the upper oring (number ends in 5185 that was different (smaller diameter)). I was able to reuse the old one though, so it wasn't a concern.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Did you wrap yours upn with electrical tape to prevent any dirt and corrosion from gettin into the connectors??
