Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) fire-ring tool source

does anybody know where i could find one of those fire ring tools and the jig? id much rather do the work myself as apposed to pulling the head and sending it out. if i had the tool i would be able to do it all in one shot. any ideas on what the cost of the tool would be? thanks for the help.

your looking at $2400 or so for a BHJ Oring jig like most shops around here use. . Maybe a little more with extra accessories.

Tri-county machine in lebanon, CT or Mass Diesel does what your looking for and use that same tool.

I remember viewing a thread where a member here did this in his driveway. D a search for your project, perhaps contacting him will get you closer. I know what you mean though, If I can do anything myself, I do. If I cant it usually wont get done.
