well finally got my truck back from ADT, it was definately worth the wait. Doug is a great guy and all i can say is he will definately get the rest of my business. he always had time to talk to me and answer all of my questions, he also offered advice when i needed it. fire rings seem to be holding well, i am taking it easy for a few days to make sure everything seats properly. the old gasket was trashed, had a 1" circle hole missing from the gasket and a 1/4" piece of the compression ring missing and it was leaking over at least cylinder4,5,6 so it was getting bad. i cant say enough for doug, his work and his crew for the job that they did on my truck. I HIGHLY recommend ADT to anyone and everyone their prices are #1 and so is their work, thanks doug.

fire ringed uses a larger steel wire and a groove is cut in the head and the deck then the ring is resessed and compressed in those groves, a modified head gasket that has the stock compression rings cut out. orings is a thinner copper wire (correct if wrong) that is can be cut in the head and deck but mostly a groove is only cut in the head and the oring provides extra clamping force on the standard headgasket and compression ring. the fire rings are the best thing going and hold more boost consistantly than orings, hope this helps.

hmmm fire rings or c rings... ... ... . "To be or not to be that is the Question"

personally I am pretty content with the fire rings, on both the 12 and 24, but the hmax crings are still very intriguing
