Firepunk Transmissions

Anyone have any info..good or bad about Firepunk Diesel in Plain City Ohio? They seem to have the market aroundhere for the auto rebuilds they do. THey call them the gold nugget. They come back painted gold. Not sure if they are that good or just to remind you how much they cost.

Suppose to be pretty good. Im partial to goerend but firepunk would be my second choice. I think they won it last year too

Painted GOLD? Had a Machine shop in L.A. that built VW air cooled long blocks. He too painted the engine cases GOLD. We called them a "Golden Goose" because they laid a lot of Golden eggs, meaning they BLEW up a lot!
Before I get SCOLDED... My add on above, about a GOLD painted case, is NO reflection to Firepunk transmission reliability.......
If my truck was an automatic, which it is not, I would ask them to leave the trans case metal color.

I am also looking at a fire punk trans in near future. I was set on goerend until they stopped doing builds. And i don't trust anyone by me to build a trans. so i've been looking at firepunk. they seem like they are doing a lot with the cummins trucks and Lavon is spending the time and money to win DPC two years in a row so they must be doing something right. reviews seem to be good from what I have read on cummins forum. right now i'm between garmons and fire punk for the trans build.
