Firestone Destination A/T

Has anyone ran these tires? If so, how did you like them and how long did they last? I'm looking into a set of 285's for my '03 and right now it's between the FIrestone's and BFG A/T. I love the BFG's but I can get into the Firestone's for about $70 cheaper per tire. Firestone's website doesn't tell what the max. weight compasity of these tires is. That's a big factor for me. Any help would much appreciated.

Decisions... Decisions... I haven't priced tires for about 3 years and I can't believe how expensive they've gotten. I do like the Bridgestone Dueler Revo's but I've heard they don't work to well on our trucks do to the sloppy front ends (i. e. ball joints). With winter coming up, I need to make a choice quickly.

I just put a set of the revo's on and they seem Ok,had them on my last dodge and they worked well,great snow and rain traction.

It looks like the Firestones are only "D" rated where the stockers are "E" rated for loading. I've had Revos and Toyo A/T's and I'm going back to the BFG Rugged Trails. The others look cool, but they just don't last very long.

I have been running the bridgestone Dueler AT revos on my 2004 for about 15,000 miles with no ill affects as far as handleing issues,they are wearing very good also. Very good tire IMHO. coobie

Stock tire size 265R17-70 E-rated. I had all four installed(mounted and balanced for around $700 bucks. Great traction in mud and snow with about the same road noise as the stock michelins. I loved the michelins on dry and wet pavement,but they sucked big time in the snow and mud. coobie

update!

Well, I talked to one of my tire guys, and he got me a great deal on some tires. I'm going with the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor A/T's in a 315-70-17. He got me into these tires for $185 each. That's dang good, considering all the other places I checked wanted over $220 per tire. I've heard great things about these tires, so I hope they do me good.

I just bought a set of 285/70/17 D rated Destination a/t's even though they are d rated they have the same capacity as the facotry e rated rugged trails 3200 pounds per tire. they ride better ,seem sticky and are just as QUIET as the factory tires. can't say how long they will last but I got all 4 for 661. oo out the door so even if they only last 40k I won't complain.

Well i have a buddy who has had the destination at's and i put a set on the wifes liberty and i wont buy them again, 30k and all the proper maitnence and they are in to the steel cords, same with my buddy but he only got 20k on his 1/2 ton chevy, thats why they are cheaper.
