Convertable Car Hauler?

I got my kit a few weeks ago, but I havent had much time to install them yet. The kit I got bolts to the spring pack and to the outside of the frame. Does firestone make mounts to mount them to the top of the axle and on the inside of the frame? This is on an 01 (Dodge 2500). If so, are there any advantages/disadvantages to doing it either way?

Thanks, Jim

Hey Jim, I don't know if I can help you much, but I purchased mine from Michigan Truck Spring, no drill application for a 3rd Gen. They are Ride Rites, and they work great.

Give them a call, very helpful and will know the best fit for your needs.

I mounted mine according to the instructions - outside the frame and on the spring pack. With my lift I needed the spacer on the spring pack, too. 20k miles with maybe 5k towing, so not a ton of miles, but they work great. I did run separate air lines to each (manual fill at the rear bumper) to keep the bags from transfering air from side-to-side during cornering.

Love 'em! Adjustable for whatever load I have, whether it's in the bed or on the hitch.
