Well the 05 hit 45K on the clock, and I had had enough of the Generals that came on the old Sweet Love.

The Generals were ORWL which as you know unless you bust the outside rears off the rim you can't get them into the rotation. That being said the outside rears wore down to the wear bar after only 45K.

I wanted the Michelin LTX M/S but they don't have a black side walls only ORWL.

I decided on the Firestone Transforce A/T. I know, I know their Firestones but if these things perform as good as they look or even get only 45K they will be an improvement.

I am really pleased with the way they feel going down the road. They only set me back $1. 000 bones for all six

I had a set on the '04. They had less than half the tread left at 20,000. This after I had run the stock Wranglers for a little over 40,000. Other than the wear rate, they were decent tires. I replaced them with 19. 5s after the wife broke a sidewall running over a curb. No more 10 plys for me.

got 48,000 on my firestones. I should get around 60,000 at least. I got a set of 6 for $1040 installed w/ new valve stems. I'll get another set.

I just got my second set of Michelin LTX M/S. Had 166k miles on the last set and still had some wear left, but cut a rear tire, so decided to replace all. They are pricey, but have done good for me.

I think I rotated the last set twice during their life. Had a little cupping on the front, but not so bad that rotating wouldn't even out. I did rotate front and rear outers for a short while which gave me the ORWL showing.

Have read of some complaints with gripping in winter, but I haven't had any problems.
