What a day here in Poway. Wild fires were burning all around my home. Luckily none came close today, but tomorrow maybe different. Smoke and ash everywhere. I don't know what the total homes lost count will be, but it is going to be high. Worst fire in the history of San Diego County. Most of the fire fighters were up in San Bernardino fighting that fire. And I washed my truck the day before. :{

My cousin attends UC San Diego, she called me yesterday afternoon to ask if I had seen the news recently... She moved to a new apartment over the summer, I have the address but don't know where she is in relation to anything (gotta Mapquest it to see). She said she had been told to pack it up and prepare to evacuate at a moments notice soo she had her car packed to the rafters.



Until this past summer, she lived very, very close to Miramar MCAS @ Highway 15, which I heard at lunch today was where one of the fires jumped across the freeway. Waaaay too close for comfort.
