Where does everyone get access to the cab via the firewall? I'm looking at access for gauges and it seems to be limited. Should I plan on making my own hole/grommet? And if so, where? TIA!!
There is a huge rubber grommet below and behind the master Cylinder. You can fit plenty of wires and hoses through this grommet. If you look up under the dash sort of above the E Brake (Emergency brake, its a diesel site, so i had to make that clear so as not to be confused with an Exhaust brake. If nessecary poke a larger hole in it.
I just cut a slit in the grommet and push the wires through, seals tight. Feed your boost tubing though some 1/4" poly hose before installing. It will make it easier to feed and protect it from kinks and sharp edges.
This is a good location for those that have an automatic transmission. Where would be a good place for those of us with a manual. That great big grommet is filled with the clutch assembly.
