Spent most of the Thanksgiving week in the Sierras. We encountered all kinds of weather, rain, snow, hail, high winds and our new camper handled it well. On the night before we left the temp. warmed up a bit after a mild day under dark skies. I knew what was coming and sure enough when we got up at dawn there was a foot of snow on the ground and falling hard but no wind. By the time we were ready to roll there was another half foot added, so being the prudent camper I am, we but on XC skis and took the dogs for a run. So much for prudence. Anyway we had a sixteen mile run in the truck to get to a plowed road and we were the first vehicle out that day. Man I love my truck, it preformed great. We had to go over a pass that near the top is around six percent grade and by the time we got to the top it had two feet on the ground. No chains, just six wheels pulling and about 13000 pounds holding them to the ground. Just to round out the trip we pulled a Tundra out of a soft spot, seems his four wheel drive could not get the job done. My wife kept saying her Subaru could do just as well as 'Buster' but I kept telling her I did not think in that deep snow her wheels would touch the ground. I love my truck.
