First Diesel Truck for me!

Got it!!!!!!!!!! Guess I need to say that! Thought I'd reached a stage where I wouldn't be excited, but I really was/am. This is the first diesel pickup I've owned personally. Made about a 500 mi trip Sat & got 14. 5 mpg doing 78 there and 74 back. This is w/HO, auto & 4. 10s Have some 315x70x17s on the way. I have some towing to do as soon as I can get to it, why would something so mundane have me looking foreward to it????? Yea!!!!!!

This is our Second Diesel (99, then 03) and we are awaiting the camping season (travel trailer) with great anticipation. we bought the new one for the extra power, and to provide more even power with the 6 speed, and I must tell you, we can't wait to see it perform. The quality, power, and now fit and finish of this new vehicle provide a source of quiet pride and confidence that pleasures my family. Finding this group of people has been a bonus to "discovering" the truck! My "mundane" towing will just be taking a 22ft tag about 70 miles to load up & bring back a MF175 tractor w/bush hog & blade. No big deal, but I can hardly wait! That amazes me!!!!!!!!!

HUH?? Never go back to a gasser? Thats what I've been driving since the wreck and can't wait for the arrivial of the new one



Thought I would wait till Jun/Jul due to funds but with the rebates it got me ordering early (like I didnt miss the smell/smoke/power ). Anyhoos, now I gots the bugs waiting and keep calling each day for status . But the main reason for the calls is we planning a run to the east coast after the rig gets here. So need a delivery date to put in for the time off... ... .



Wont have too many add-ons done but thats OK, will get the dealer to put em in the back seat so I can do it on the way east !!!!



At least it will keep me awake figuring out what to do next .





Might even offer to make deliveries on the way (Augusta/Baltimore/? her stops at places unknown att). Might take tt with us for weight and cheap place to stay.
