finally did it. now i need to know what kinds of things i can "tweak" to get things a little better. any thoughts? some porting work is in the near future. i know i need a turbo, but money is an issue for the time being. i'm just wondering about the little things that i've probably missed. anyway, any info is appreciated. thanks

supposed to be a pic of result sheet. first time posting though, don't know if it will work. if it doesn't, #'s are 261 hp, 691 tq.

There are no. of things that stand out from the looks of your data sheet. The most obvious is the fact you need a gov spring. Some further "pump bumps will also be in order. The turbo/porting is gonna help you breath better but you will want to perform some low budget mods that will really help out.

Scott

"low budget mods"? that's what i'm talking about.

fuel pin? heard it's not so good with a 12cm.

governor spring. ok.

AND?

much more fuel is out of the question right now, as i still haven't seen the top of the pyro. (on the street, here at 5000 ft. it topped out at 1350* on the dyno. a little lower elev. though. ) neeed morrree aiirrr.

:-laf ... ..... need... ... ... more... ... ... air... ... ... :-laf

"Captain! I'm giv'n her all she's got!!" :--)

Maybe you will want to try out a 16cm and see what that does for you???? I understand the 12 thing @ that altitude. With the fuel you will be pushing, your gonna need some air.

With out giving away all my secrets you may try to do a few things, however the air in/out thing is your Waterloo.

Throttle linkage adjustments can be done @ home for little or no $$

The gov spring is like 20 bucks. OK, add some $ for the new pump gasket. No biggy there.

I'd try a fuel pin and adjust the AFC spring preload to compensate. I don't recall... ... do you have the POD injectors, swank?? You'll want to get the use outta them.

Internal pump mods are cheep. But you'll melt her down  Better not go there eh?

That's what you get when you sniff bus fumes all day dude... . :D:D

Pastor bob... .

thanks everyone. i did try a 16cm for a while, not quite good enough. temps went up real fast. after putting the 12 on i was able to crank the fuel a little more. what kind of internal pump mods (aside from the governor spring) are there to do? on the cheap. anyway, thanks all.

Any internal pump mods will net you tons more fuel and your at wits end now getting it to flow the air. You may try a fuel pin. If your pistons are still intact, then maybe you could experiment with a few internal mods. Also, get that gov. spring in there.

Scott

well, the air sit may be on the mend. picked up a hx40 today for $50 (needs rebuild) but i figured it was worth it. i'll get that gov spring coming too. thanks scott.
