Well... I finally got a chance to install the FASS I have had riding around in my back seat for the last 2 months... Install went fairly smoothly... Lil problem with getting the bracket holes drilled but I finally got it on... Had the BDPP get on the 90 hp setting... Truck felt great. . none of hesitation between the right foot comming down and bodies going back in the seats... Power on tap!!. . I was really impressed... This was the first time that this truck has auctually really been fun to drive... Ran to the store to get stuff for dinner and decided to load up ol crazy larry in the store parking lot... I had run crazy larry before without the FASS and it was just a lil better then the performance setting on the bottom end... hit a big wall on the top due to draining the rail... Pulled out of the parking lot and nailed it... wound up going down the street at a 45* angle... Holy ***... Wasnt really expecting that... Got her straightened out and drove a bit more sane to my buddies house... Every thing felt great on the bottom end... didnt get a chance to play on the top end...
When I was headed back to my house I was on a two lane road with fairly wide shoulders cruising at about 65... I came up behind a lil S10 doin like 55 and he pulled over on to the shoulder to let me pass... I got on the throttle like I always did with the performance setting before the FASS and almost ended up sideways again... According to the Outlook I hit 43 lbs of boost in less then 1. 5 senconds and got a huge kick in the teeth for my heavy right foot... Before I knew it my speedo was cranking past 100 and I was still trying to sit up... Let out of it and got back down to the speed limit... Ran the recall feature on the outlook and found that I had hit 1400* + in a matter of seconds and boost topped out at 45 lbs... I felt like I had been shot out of a cannon... The truck pulled so hard that I had to physically pull myself out of the seat to keep her on the road...
I need a turbo bad... My stock one is screaming for a mercy killing... Looking at the II SPS66... I cant wait till I get my TST working again... All the lil ricers and econo boxes that insist on riding my ***** every day on the highway r gonna start turning black... I need new tires... The stock ones break loose way to easy... As I was cruising slowly down my street (15 mph in 3rd gear) I nailed it again and instantly the rear tires broke loose...
The FASS and BDPP w/ CL r by far the best bombs I have ever done on n e of my CTD's... Just wanted to share my experience with yall... . I love my truck again!!!!
