Too bad it was my other truck :0! 1996 SC F250 4x4 460, K&N, 4. 10, auto, intake and exhaust opened up, 45K miles. This truck does not have much more power hiding in there without expensive mods (a chip would help).

The challenger: 1992 2wd cummins, K&N, straight pipe, 3. 54, 5spd, 16cm2, straightpipe, pw injectors, pump tweaks, 154K miles. This truck was only throwing black smoke on initial full throttle. Turbo spooled and no smoke. It had a lot more left in it! And I am sure the rear end differences make a big difference in this.

Taking turns towing an 18' Aluminum 3 horse/unfinished tack/sleeping qts) gooseneck, about 4800lbs with all the crap in it (4200 curb weight plus saddles and associated nonsense).

These are all 10-60mph, No 0-60, trying to preserve transmissions. The Getrag ain't no model of reliability, and E40D's are satan's preferred method for getting power to the wheels.

All of these locations are on I-25 in Colorado, during off hours early on the weekend, 75mph speed limit in all cases. Friend operating the stop watch. Yeah, not a great place, but available.

Monument Hill OnRamp Going North in seconds (uphill onramp to the interstate): 10-60mph
Dodge Ford
25 29

Top of Monument Hill on I-25. Heck, I don't know the grade. Steep for an interstate, the altitude is ~7300 feet, bottom is ~7000 feet. If I had to guess, I'd call it somewhere in the 6-7% range.
Dodge Ford
75 68

Baptist Road onramp going north (mildly uphill onramp to the interstate): 10-60mph
Dodge Ford
21 25

All of this playing around, and I got 21mpg out of the Dodge to boot!
Have a great day,
jon
