first gen turbo question

will the exhaust housing from a second gen (12 cm waste gated) swap onto a stock first gen (92 IC) turbo ?



i know it is longer so i will have to adjust the down pipe ... . but other then that what else has to be done ?

Not all exhaust and turbos attach the same way. My 01's exhaust bolts to the turbo while my buddy's 98. 5 24 valve has a band clamp to attach it. I would check to make sure that your parts are all compatible.

I got an HX-35 off a 97 3500. If I remember correctly, the swap would have been doable other than the extra length. I think I gave that housing to either Philip or Greenleaf, so can't check for sure.

yes it will work. i just did one an it will spoolup the turbo very nicely
