Oil filter relocation kit from City Diesel. Hopefully it will be installed soon.

Being a victim of a back stabbing ( aka, back surgery ) I had a difficult time changing the oil filter. This kit moves the filter to directly behind the frame below the A/C compressor. Changing oil will be a snap now. I recommend the kit based on it's initial quality but don't recommend Dr. Marc Letellier of Mesa AZ.

Does it use the stock oil filter?? The oil filter box in the pics looks too small to be the correct one for our diesels

If you are going to re-locate your oil filter, why not use the oppourtunity to add a dual bypass setup. The biggest reason i hear for why people dont use them is the dont want the hassle of running oil lines, but if you are remote mounting your filter anyhow, why not?

Couldnt wait... It fit like a custom suit!!

It sits behind the front frame bulkhead, actually higher than the sway bar. You would have to try to get it to hit anything. Very well laid out.

It uses the OEM filters too.

The oil filter box in the pictures is a Mopar 501654AC, I think it is the Microglass Fleet guard filter, I put the box in the picture to show how heavy duty the relocation kit is made.

Oil lines are idiot proof (impossible to hook up backwards).

Changing oil wont cause the neighbors kids to get scared and run away any more :D Actually may be a fun thing to do now.

Best $200 I ever spent.

STEP 1: Pour 1 QT of oil into new oil filter

STEP 2: Flip truck onto left side... ... ... ... . ;)

First I did it like Shovelhead suggested but it scratched the paiont and broke the mirror :p

I just filled it with oil and quickly put it on, as long as it was turning there was no oil run out.
