Who has tried different TST timings with Smarty?

My 2000 was totaled and unfortunatly i have to spend in ins. money on other things(taxes :eek: )

so i guess i get stuck with the 03

can't stand it stock so what does everybody recomend to get me started?

biggest question is a box or do a smarty if avail? will not compromise reliability.

i know zero about the 3rd gens and the CRD guess i'll be leaening :)
 
The general consensus is to go with the Smarty and from I have read here it compliments some boxes nicely. The numbers are impressive for the 3rd gens with a Smarty.
 
If power is what you are after I made the numbers in my sig with a standard tst/bully dog... .



Of course you would need a clutch and turbo to handle it... .



That combo will make your 2000 feel like the pig :D
 
1st mod

Your 1st mod should be a built transmission. 50 more hp to the ground no matter who's box your running or NO box. Seriously the best $$$ you will spend. IMHO :D

I like my TST - I have yet to outgrow it :)

do the 5600's suck????

i know they aready have a bigger clutch than the 45's 13. 125" i think, like the up graded one in the 2nd gen i have sitting smasmed to hell in the yard

i'd assume the transmission is ok but the clutch is the weak link will it handle a box???????????????????????

a box & intake is about all i'll prob do to this truck as i HATE it. unless the egts get up there then ... ... ... well you folks know
