First Mod

I am trying to figure out what my first performance mod should be. I am thinking about either the Edge-EZ or an exhaust system.



I figure this will be the first of many mods.



Currently the truck is transpertation with little towing. When I do tow it is a 26 ft tag trailer with my race care inside about 8K lbs. I plan to get a goose nek in the future.



My truck is a 99 3500 Quad Cab 2WD auto, I just picked it up last week with 28K miles. When I got it I figured I was out of the modifying game then I found this site. Guess I'm in real trouble now. Looking forward to some real fun with this.



I'm new to the diesel truck game. I have run turbo's before, Buick GN's and such.

Get gauges first, boost, egt, fuel pressure at least.

ERG, Trans Temp, & Boost are on the way. Also Mag-Hytec deep trans pan & Diff cover. When they arrive I intend to replace all the lubricants with amsoil products.

I replaced the stock air filter first. It's very little $$$ and will lower your EGTs. If you have the money and want a FUN mod. go for the EZ! I do not feel $450 would be well spent on a 4 inch exhaust system. You can remove or replace the stock muffler for less than $100.
