I must say TDR is well worth the price. I did my first oil change this past weekend. I used theinfo obtained here and purchased a nice strap wrench for the filter. I believe this was one of the easiest oil changes I have ever done on any of my vehicles. Went very smoothly took about an hour and didn't spill a drop. Keep the info flowing guys:D

I agree that oil changes are a breeze on the Cummins. Don't you feel sorry for those driving Navistar/PSD or Isuzu/GM V-8s? However, we're probably lucky we bought our Rams when we did. Have you seen the next generation Cummins in the 2003? Oil filter and turbo hanging pretty far south. I'll stick with my noisy but service-able ETH.

Barnstormer,

That was a big reason for me getting an 02 versus waiting on an 03. With what I read and a few of the rumors going around I decided that for me I would rather have the 02 - at least I know what I was getting. Seems like I nade the right decision in my opinion. I also read where Cummins was going to the common fuel rail and changing around the engine making some of the serviceable items harder to get at. Besides I love the sound of the Cummins. I can pick them out from way off in the distance. When they idle they have that distinct sound all there own. I stoppped for fuel last night and as I was waiting on it in pulls a new F-450 PSD talk about quiet. It was real disappointment to my ears. At least when I owned mine it sounded like a real truck with a diesel in it.

Charlie,

Be prepared to receive the double thumbs-up at traffic lights. Usually from guys that have been around awhile and know a real diesel when they hear one. Clessie Cummins knew what he was doing.
