Two horney little devils!

I'm wondering about a price on a '98. The truck i'm looking at is a 2 tone SLT 4x4 5 speed, with 120,000 km. The lowest I can get it for is $26 000. The truck is straight, clean, and drives well. The only noticeable body damage is a hole in the box where a 5th wheel hitch was. Any thoughts would be welcome.

Hello,

While shopping recently for my new 2500HD Cummins I found most places selling 2001 2500 Cummins 5 Speeds SLT 4X4's Quad Cab LWB for around $29,500 with the rebates and such. Automatics were $30,500. I'd not pay $26,000 for a truck with 120,000km on it when I could get a new one for $3,500 more. I ended up ordering a 2002 for quite a bit more.

Good luck,

A BIG part of the equation in my eyes is it a 24v or 12v truck????

If its a 12v QC then yes it would be worth that much. I know someone who just paid $25,000 US for a 98 12v QC 5speed loaded etc. .

So please share some more details on the truck... . and how much is that price in US dollars?

I don't see why it wouldn't be a bad deal, as long as its what you want in a truck. Its only worth however much your willing to pay. I guess the biggest part of it is, is it what your looking for? If so shouldn't be anything wrong with it. I know some of the early 98. 5's had weak injection pumps, other then that just keep an eye on fuel pressures and your set.

About a month and half ago the dealer offered me $27,000 US to trade my truck in. 19,000miles and owned since March of 2000. Was really tempted to try it :D

Mines just a lil ol regular cab as well. I would say 19,000 US is a fair price if the vehicle was well cared for.

I've been looking for a while. The most appealing part of this truck is there is still 40 000 km warranty left on the motor. I've just taken a job with a 8 days on and 6 days off shift, and I want a reliable truck that gets decent fuel economy so I can travel home on days off. (2200 km round trip) I also want to be able to eat my buddys '00 90hp chipped stroker for lunch.
