Hello all,

This is my first post, after lurking on the site for a while. Great site btw. Anyway I have an 01 Quad Cab that replaced an 01 crew cab w/ a powerjoke engine. (I got tired of my father-in-laws 98 24 valve CTD pulling his heavier camper and leaving me and my lighter camper, all the while getting better fuel mileage). O. K. to the point, coming home from camping, I come to a stop sign and the engine starts to stumble. I look down, and no fuel pressure. I pull over stop the engine and look for leaks. No leaks, get back in bump the starter, lift pump buzzes, finally makes pressure, after a couple cycles, I fire it up and it has run good ever since. (3 weeks) Got 0230 code. My question is do you think the circuit out of range code is a one time thing or is the lift pump on the way out. (pressures have been good, 15-16 idle, 12-13 cruising at about 50 mph. )? Thanks to everyone. Jonesey

For all the more trouble it is and for the amount of money it could save you by salvaging the vp I personally wouldn't take the chance Although there where some posts on here just last week about a relay going bad and causing the lift pump to go dead for a second you may want to search for that.
