Just a quick story... ...
Deer Hunting, driving from camp to the huntin' canyon when I spies me a car off the road in the dark, in the ditch. The driver asked for a ride to a phone, and I, not havin' straps or time, oblige.
BTW, I'm on Shower and Shave break right now, heading right back out... .
Couple hours later, we pass back up the road, theres the car, in a rather precarious position, being 'towed' back onto the road with a DuraTrash 1 Ton Tow Truck conversion.
They were having a hell of a time and couldn't get the car back on the road. He had snatch blocks, winch lines and the works and only managed to get the car onto the 45 degree shoulder of the muddy 'owl snot' road.
I asked him if he needed help, hooked one cable to the front A-Arm of the car and my hitch, and pulled the car over the embankment and onto the road 180 degrees around without a sweat! ( naturally )
The Tow driver said, 'Man, you musta' had a better angle at it than me'! (Could be the driver, probably was the truck... . )
The driver of the car, complaining about the tow driver, offered a $20 that I didn't accept, I was paid already.
Then came the gravy... ... .
The Dura Trash was STUCK TOO! Seems he needed a pull out of the mud. I didn't charge him a cent, he charged the car driver $150. 00!
Didn't catch his VIN Number!?!
Ain't life sweet!
