Well I did the first servicing on my truck todayand it took me 3 hours. The oil change part of it wasn't too bad, besides the lug being over tightened, as usual. However, the fuel filter changing sucked. I don't imagine it had been changed prior to my changing it, being that the truck only had 13K miles on it when I bought it. That F-ing thing had to have been put on with an air impact wrench.
And to boot, they only give you a couple of inches worth of room to torque on it. Finally got it out and it didn't look too bad.
I also took this opportunity to remove and check the IAT sensor for any soot build-up. For those of you who have not tried this, I hope you have patience. I swear 10 year old Asian boys had to have put these things in, because anyone with hands and/or arms bigger than that couldn't possibly have shoehorned them in there. Trust me, you will play havoc trying to release the retention clip and pull off the plug. At any rate, a half hour later when I finally removed the sensor, the damn thing was clean. :{ Go figure.
I'm glad I did this first service myself, but we'll see about the next one.
