The factory lift pump dies at 36029 with a pusher pump. Then after being on the truck for 1 year and 19789 miles, the pusher pump dies. What in the heck is going on??? I'm thinking of removing the factory pump and placing it next to a "new" pusher pump, then plumping them separately. This way if one dies, I can turn a valve and flip a switch and now I have a fresh fuel pump. Ideas????? TIA

I have heard of a similar Idea; plumb seperately, use check valves to prevent backflow to the other pump, flip a switch in cab and presto, good insurance policy. Don't know if anyone tried it though.
