The positives are;

It certainly has met or exceeded my expectations.

Fit and finish are fine. Yeah, even the paints ok

Very solid feel, tracks really well and corners suprisingly well. Power is great, the torque of this engine is amazing.

Really like the fold flat floor, and the storage options in cab.

Fuel economy is OK, not fantastic, but as good as the Mazda B4000's it replaced. (first tank 15. 7 second tank 16. 7 calculated)

Build date 2/04.

The negatives;.

There is a variable amount of vibration, (not a tremendous amount but certainly noticable) between 70-75 mph, which is not RPM related. It also seems to vary with load.

It seems to smooth out at higher speeds and is very smooth below 70.

Slight oil smell if the cab fan is on and you are stopped at a light with the wind blowing just right.

I know, I know, nothing new and lots of posts on the same problems.

Still have yet to tow. Will be picking up a load of hay in my utility trailer in a month or so and will be climbing some pretty steep hills.

Dan

Hope the next 99,000 miles are as nice as the first 1000!

It's nice to hear positive feedback on these new 600's coming into circulation. Maybe a few bugs got worked out. Called DC yesterday, my truck just went got relaesed from plant (ordered on Feb 13th w/ stick). Get that baby on a train and start it North.

OK , I see I didn't spell check or proof read, wooops. I guess I was too excited about reading the TDR this morning.
