I would like to just say hi and say i have been converted.

I am a long time chevy man . But i have been look ing for a diesel for the last 6 yrs. i looked ad chevy (not so much cause of the ifs) and (ford but the 7. 3 low milers were hard to come by. Then low and behold then neighbor had a 2005 cummins qc for sale . i knew at an instant it was for me as i have been following the diesel forums for 6 yrs. Long story short i bought A 2005 dodge 2500 qc cummins with 0nly 15600 miles on it . i am truly amazed. The power the mileage the just amazing truckness. It was equiped with just about everything but leather seats. I look forward to many miles of fun and many nights of informaation from this forum.

Welcome

Although the 05's are a very rough and reliable unit there are still a few issues that may come up, all of which the peeps here can help with.

The 05's are credited with the first in tank lift pumps, and half way through the year you could still get the New Venture 5600 manual trans. The 48RE auto's are an excellent unit as well.

There are some reflash programs for your ECM you should research too

You need to fill in your sig so other members can be more help when posting.

Welcome to the family. You have come to the best forum to get all the information and feedback you need.

Only 15900 miles, man you still need to break it in. Congrats on you new truck.

Welcome aboard. You can't beat a Dodge Ram with a Cummins. An 05 is certainly one of the better ones. I know, I have one.

I feel blessed that mine is equipped with the awesome NV5600, 6 speed standard.

Thank you all for welcoming me to such a great place. I look forward to learning all i can and helping where i can.
Thanks
John
