Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) First time smarty use question

I finally got around to getting a smarty for my truck and it says to remove all electronic performance devices before connecting the smarty. Now, does this mean turning the power off on my edge comp, or do I have to unplug all the connectors hooked up the comp box? Don't want to screw anything up!

i dont even turn the power off on my comp when i'm doing downloads with the smarty. I guess i probably should, but i usually dont think about it, but i've never had any problems.

Try sw#2... . it is the smoothest setting. Pedal isn't jumpy & power is smooth. It is my favorite setting to stack with the comp.

Thanks, I can't wait to try out the smarty. I am just waiting for my truck to come out of paint and to get the phuzion head gasket put in, and I will be ready to go. I have so much to start experimenting with!
