Just got back from the track, and first off, LACR is like 3000' elevation. I started off in stock mode, she got me a 16. 1@83mph. Not too bad. Level 1 (30hp) got me 15. 5@85 (I would say this would be the easiest one to drive), spinning a bit. Level 3 (60hp) didn't change a thing. Level 5 (90hp) got me the same time, but 90 mph speed, more spinning. Jumped up to level 9 (170hp) when they announced the track would be closing which gave me a tire spinning to the point of me getting sideways, transmission slipping 14. 9@98mph with a 2. 7 60' time, even though I babied it through first, it still spun bad half way through 2nd. Lower tire pressure didn't help. Not too bad for just a programmer on this 7000lb truck. Took out several Hondas, was right on the tail of an old LX Mustang stick, and running down hard a new Mazda 6 with turbo and awd (who came up to me after and wondered how I was able to run him down because he saw and heard me spinning and fighting it, real cool guy), smoked an oldsr Lexus SC 400 and a riced out Celica running on slicks. Ok, it's fast enough for me now, just gonna build the trans to hold up to the power, and get some type of traction aid. By the time the last runs were going, I had about 5 or 6 people come up to me and wonder what I did to make this thing run! Roomy in his '06 Stang stick got a 14. 1. He was grumbling about me and my "damn diesel still running 14's and spinning" All in all, it was a VERY fun night!
