Well had my first pull of the new truck (SO, 47re) to say the least the truck pull great down the freeway.

I do not like the shift points of the transmission at 45 mph the trans locks into OD no matter the throttle position, I will select the O/D to off until I reach 55 mph, then shift to O/D. I might do the disconnect the battery thing then reconnect turn key to ON then depress the go pedal slowly down and back to see if I might be able to change the shift points.

Back to the pull, I pulled east on I- 95 to PA up and down hills in O/D and out, In O/D I would loose about 6-10 mph (starting from about 68-65), RPMs would drop down to 1400-1500. A couple of times I almost shifted out of O/D.

So far so good!!

Some where in here I read that if you disconnect your battery (both) and let the truck sit for about 2-3-mins, reconnect the batteries turn the key on(not started) slowly depressed the accelerator pedal to the floor and back you can reset the shift points. But I haven't found that post.

I suggest you NOT allow the rpm's to drop to 1400 when in OD and towing up a hill. This is just asking the torque converter clutch to slip. Keep the RPM's up in the 2100 range and your trannie and engine will be a lot happier and you'll get better fuel mileage.
