It was a good day. Went up north to pick up a 8000 lb boat. On the way home with the boat in tow I was very impressed with the power of my stock truck towing the boat. If it wasn't for the bouncing I'd not have known it was back there. Anyway, leaving town there is a steep hill about two miles long. About a dozen cars were lined up in the slow lane making there way up the hill. I passed them all and came to a lone (empty) new Ford Powerstroke. With only a quarter of the hill left and me about 20 yards behind him. I saw him look in his mirror and notice me coming, then a puff of black smoke as he got on it (he didn't want me loaded in front of him). He was in the right lane, I was in the passing lane. As I flew past him he kept looking down at his gauges as if to see what the hold up was. After I passed him he tried to keep up for about 10 miles but I guess decided he wasn't going to be able to pass on the narrow road so he disappeared behind me. It's nice to know I have that kind of power available when I need it (which I'm finding I need more and more).
Maybe I'll go out tomorrow and find a hill with a Duramax on it.
