Anyone non-commercial ever been weighed?

800 # to call about AB 1058. DO IT NOW!!!

well to see how crazy the "pulling stories" can be, one of our guys came back from a job today with one i've heard a million times. our duramax reportedly pulled a heavy load, on cruise, on a three mile grade, 6%, at a constant 75 mph. yeah right. well all of us that have ctd's and powerstrokes might as well get used to this. my question is, i know my ctd "could" match that, but only after the egt gauge popped the glass and was forever rendered useless... . do you chevy guys have something to say about that? it just doesnt register to me that hp, and torque are really being looked at properly. as far as the isuzu diesel's we've had them on our massey and white tractors for years and they are first rate, never any problems... . ;)

Well,

Hang around here long enough and there is Your A list, B list, AND C list guys around here..... It doesn't bother me one bit. The guys who want the info, are the TRUE DIESELS

enthusiast... ... . If it were not for competition we all be driving 6 cyl Dodge Darts... Right LOL Well, any way Right now I'm enjoying my new found LOVE, that would be MY EDGE BOX..... THE "JUICE" now I truly know what you guys have been enjoying for years now. What it's like to have a plug in module that kicks a**... .....

EDGE PRODUCT'S RULE... ... ... ..... NUF SAID

MAC:D :D :D

MAC - if you REALLY wanna wake up that engine, install a good propane injection system - for MY money, a good box update and propane are the best bang-for-the-buck in our diesels!

After THAT, it becomes a matter of repairing/replacing broken driveline components!;) :D

Propanes for cooking ...LOL

Gary - KJ6Q,

First of all I like you SIG... ... Keep drinking my friend..... Just don't be driven. Case there a lawyer present, Don't want no Lawsuit. LOL

:D

I agree about the propane but... . I got one of them EDGE BOXES called the "JUICE" for the D-MAX..... First off AAron is one hell of a guy. . My truck is now a screaming tire smokin lunatic... . I have All that the Allison can handle stock in this box..... Running around at 90 HP (90 is max. hp ? with 250 torque) setting it's nuts... But a truck load of fun..... I'll have to change the valve body (which is available $700 bucks) to go over 250 FT #s Torque without sending it into limp mod or spin the clutches to dust... Right now it fits my needs. Going to take my buddy for a ride (maybe let him drive  ) who owns a 99 CTD 3500 4x4 ext cab..... See what he thinks... .

MAC:D :D

amc,, don't forget to tell your CTD friend that Edge also sells a PE COMP that is 120HP. Only for upgraded auto's and stick guys. (Needs Gauges to)

amc. . What does the box do to your Boost and EGT?? I saw BD's video's with "The Jiuce" and EGT stayed insanely low, even on the highest setting. (How does 800-900* pre-turbo WOT Towing a PSD sound?)

Tell us what your gauges say amcintyre.

Man, I sure am glad I bought a Cummins!

Wading through this thread re-affirms it.

Its kinda cool knowing I got what everyone else compares theirs to, and keep trying to justify why theirs is "still-ok", even though they dont half the options you have w/ the cast-iron cummins.

There's something about this Cummins that draws people in. They even pay to be on our site, even though they dont have one.

Reminds me of when this guy used to ride his honda 90 "toilet-seat" bike to where we used to hangout w/ our drag bikes. The boys used to razz him, so he put a 110 kit in it, carb, & all sorts of stuff that got it to go maybe 55 mph (all tucked in on a long straight). He put sign on the back that said "Kawi 9 Jr".

Sorry, the VIN is not available so you'll just have to "trust me".

Was a nice guy, but he really should have gotten a real bike.

Hey Mac,

If your ever in KY I would love to drive that truck. My really good friends all have Chevy's. That's 3 Duras and 2 2500hd. 3 quad cabs and 2 crews. They are great trucks and a joy to ride in and drive. I have told them that if my wife wanted a truck it would be a 2500 crew-cab Duramax. Now that said, I love my truck, and when they drove it they loved it too. Of course they did tell me I needed an Allison auto for quicker drag times. I told them I don't care about quicker drag times pulling that 30' gooseneck loaded with hay. Chevy has come out with a nice truck but for MY $$ I'll take the CTD. Hey-different is good, isn't that right Mac?:D

Mojo293,

Sure is... ..... For instance... ... . Who to hell would just want to eat STEAK every nite... ... ... Everyone has to mix in some "TUNA" now and again... ..... DIESEL'S rule ... ... . We all need the COMPETITION other wise life would be a bore... ... ...

MAC:D :D

WELL - I suppose if'n ya wanna pay 40 grand for a Duramax, just so's ya can do well against other diesels, empty, at the stoplites... :p ;) :D

Now, ME,*I* wanna WORK mine, and I *know* what puts the power to the ground up the grades, pulling a heavy load... :p

How many real trucks have autos? A few school busses? Midsize rentals? Trucks that work rarely do.

How many cars have autos?

Do you want a truck or a car?

We each decide for our selves and pay our money to participate. :D

Mine is the best for me. :)

LarryB,...

M1A1, Bradly... I think they are both autos. . which I would love to have either one for rush hour around here.

I have an Isusu in a bobcat 853 it is a 4 banger with cast heads and built in japan. 5000 hours on a motor is not unusual. bobcat uses different motors from kubota isusu and deutz for the best application of power to a particular weight machine and do not compromise on quality . ithought that gm had finally gotten it right when i saw the isusu name on the dmax

when i found out that dmax was being built at the moraine engine plant just down the road i lost interest in a hurry. I do not believe the bean counters from GM will build the durability that comes from a japanese plant

If dodge built the Cummins in such a joint venture I would not have purchased one--- the way some of us b**tch about the dodge parts of our trucks I doubt that you would either.

Trucks-- good ones-- are like skid steer loaders Get the one others compare to.

I could have gotten a 4200. 00 discount from my GM card by building up credits for business . I think it will be saved for a car!!
