I did my first tow with the newly installed Edge Comp. I brought my Alfa Gold (13K+) up from below Lake Havasu to my Cedar City home. From 431 feet elevation to 6400. I traveled at highway speed limits where possible and sometimes inched over ;) I checked the mileage apart from the computer and came up with 10. 6 MPG for the 300 miles from the fuel stop on I-40 to the Smith's Conoco in CC. The power on three bars was AWESOME!. I did smoke a bit when I punched it to pass EVERY RV I came to and a host of 18 wheelers that had passed me on the flat (as I was only a few MPH above the posted limit). I didn't get into the sub-programs... ... that will be next. :D . BTW... the outfit in Havasu from whom I originally ordered a Diablo Power Puck, refunded my money with no sweat. I understand the owner was a bit miffed that I had been dissuaded by members of TDR. :-{} . Thanks to all who encouraged me to cancel the Diablo and go for the Edge Comp... not the EZ. A lady friend of mine, who had never been in a diesel pick up was amazed at the passing power (with just a shell) :--) She drives a Ferd minivan that has all the passing power of a push mower. EGTs were monitored carefully and were held to 1100. There was a lot more throttle left, but I chose to hold the line there and suffered only a few MPH at most.

Utah Willie, Thats very pleasing to hear, as I to just recieved my refund from Uncle Sam and have been pondering over which box to go with and I like the possibilitys the Edge Comp has over the other boxes. What Injectors and other power up grades are you running with the Comp.

Thanks, TJ

I am running no other "bomb" equipment. Other than a U. S. Gear O/D unit behind my five speed manual transmission, I do have a Westach boost pressure and EGT gauge installed to monitor those but have as yet to indulge myself with injectors, turbo housing or large exhaust. These may all become the objects of future projects, but for now, the Edge Comp seems to be delivering just the power I need to whip that 5er or camper through the Rockies or the Sierras. BTW, I do have an exhaust brake (Mopar/Jacobs) which I would never leave home in a diesel without.
