went on my first trip since the pmx3 and dtt v/b & t/c were added and all i can say is WOW!!! i was able to pull the hills with the pmx set on 5-6,,egt 1200,,with OD off,,using about 1/3 of the throttle. it's was amazing that i could drop the hammer on the hills and would actually set ya back in the seat with a 10k lb camper on the back. the truck ran better while towing with the upgrades than it did stock with no load. on the open road i could run level 9 and let my foot control the egt's. i hit it hard from a stop lite (a psd was beside me with a fifth wheel)and i actually broke the back tires loose and was gone. i think i scared him,,he thought he was gonna burn me,,i told him when we stopped at the next lite that he's gonna need a couple more of those chips to hang with me,,he asked what in the world did you do to that thing?? i said,nothing yet,,,he could see the pillar mount gauges so i guess he assumed i was bombed. i am very pleased at how the truck reacted being bombed and towing. dont get me wrong,,the egt's can really max out if you dont watch your foot but i really never needed to use more than half the throttle,,also keeping the od off unless i was on the highway really helps

I have to second that thumbs-up for the importance of gauges. I just installed DD Stage II's, boost module, and boost elbow today, and noticed (quickly!) that I could get my EGT up to 1200 REALLY quick out on the highway. I can see how people would get into BIG trouble w/o the EGT pyro and even slight mods to their trucks.

FWIW: I couldn't get the truck over 1150 degrees when the truck was "stock", no matter how hard I tried! Funny how 30 pounds of boost and double the fuel can alter your exhaust temps. #ad

GOOD for you! i am glad your mods work out so good. i have never seen over 1100 on my auto lite egt. i do have a 4" jardine exaust, but am using stock fleetguard foam and paper filter in stock box. i 4x4 alot and work in very dusty areas,so i opted for the paper filter. ( i did cut down the plastic piece that runs from air filter housing to fender, the ran 3" hose down to fresh cold air by passenger door) i never see the high egt that you are seeing, even loaded at wot.
