first tow with the mega cab

went from conn to rocky mount nc yesterday. avraged 10. 5mpg(hand) 65-70mph. i really like towing with the stick. just having a hard time not barking the turbo from 5to6 when getting on the interstate. i'm getting better. im going to turn the ramifier on today. probally to like 20%. had it off yesterday. today going from rocky mount to somwhere in florida. not sure where. final destination is key largo. oh yea, 1120 miles on the truck to date! left conn with 601miles on the ticker!... james

finally made itto the florida keys. took a while to get my internet going down here! i avraged about 11. 5mpg hand on the final day of the trip. i set the cruise at 70 and tok my time. boy does she smoke down here in the warm weather! every shift and i send out a nice smoke trail!... james

My Megacab would smoke empty or with a load. Normally no problem considering I upgraded from a slightly bombed 12v. The 06' smoke was kind of an obnoxious haze. I had my injectors modified last week then towed 5500pds on Saturday. No smoke empty/loaded. At 70mph I averaged 12. 6mpg over 246miles with the Jeep/trailer in tow.



The injector mod was an extrude hone worth 82hp and 135 lb ft tq.

my 04. 5 will give a puff now and then on shifts, but i have never barked the trubo. also after cruising on the highway at 70mph for a while if i stomp on the throttle it will give a nice Haze as stated before. for about 1/8th mile.
