We took the new fiver to SanAngelo for the weekend, I sure like pulling it compared the the TT, The TT was like pulling a sled. I was able to tow both way's with od, my truck seem's to like 1900 R. P. M's & 70 mph. With the other camper 65 od off 2600 R. P. M. seemed like the cummin's was hurtin. All was good had one leak at the sink factory guy's didn't get a drain gasket installed straight. Welcome to the world of 5'ver towing. I've only been at it for 5 months myself, and the difference is pleasantly surprising. I should have went with a fifth wheel right from the start.

5th wheel

Congratulations on your new rig. I too am relatively new to the 5th wheel experience. I have Komfort 24 foot, with a slide-out. Every time I go out, I learn (the hard way) something new. Here's a tip for those who may not be aware: Never move out your slide-out until your rig is level. You may not be able to retract it electrically or manually. I know!

Happy camping.

5er

My wife and I love our 24' Komfort 5er w/slide. Very easy to tow. In fact I hardly ever know it's back there until I look in the mirror. MY only problem is BACKING UP !!!! Practice makes perfect. .

Yea I know what you are talking about backing is a lot differant with the fiver, it takes longer to turn it than the tt. like ya said practis make perfect. Harv

Use two way radios when backing up. It will save your marriage. Assuming you want to save it that is.

Cheers, Casey

We use radios and hand signals that help greatly. Plus I stop, set the brake, and walk back to take a look occasionally. It is taking forever for me to get "good" at backing up. Don't get discouraged and keep on trucking. Besides there is no one scoring your efforts.
