Yesterday the GLTDR had a BOMB session at Macomb community college ( https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37591 ). Cooker brought CPFF's #9 KDP jig to the event and 7 KDP's (killer dowel pins) were permanently killed  ! After talking to a number of vendors I found that my '98. 5 was still succeptable to the KDP and some '99s are as well (the timing covers don't have the step in them to prevent the dowel pin from dropping out). AFAIK noone else has used the jig on a 24v yet - it worked great just like on the 12v trucks. If you haven't seen this jig and the tools that accompany it, it is a work of art - HUGE thanks to CPFF for developing the jig and assorted tools to enable this fix to be done soooooo easily.
