Anybody use this yet, from Genos? How and where did you mount it? I'm looking at on my door but it's not a straight verticle surface so I'll have to do some work to get it on. Any other suggestions? Thanks
I put three on my 01 six speed. One on the front of my cup smoothie from Geno's. One on each door. I used a cordless screwdriver and sheet metal screws to mount them. I put the ones on my doors at about where your knee would hit the door if your seated in the seat and rotate your knee outward to the door. I mountd the one on the cup smoothie on the passenger side of the front so there was no inteference with the shift knob in sixth gear.
Funny (Not really) story about those holders and mounting. I know a guy who is not only a danger to himself but everyone arround him. He mounts them using some rediculous double thread screws and we go off for coffee (Winter time). We get there and get coffee and go to leave when someone sees us and comes to the window. Naturally he goes to roll down the window and POP goes the window into a zillion bits. :-laf :-laf #@$%! Gee D. J How ya likin' those screws now?
Hmm, maybe on the smootie would be a good place, thanks for the suggestion kkreigh, ToolMan, I know many a geniuses just like that, I would probably do something like that, either shatter the window or end up with racing stripes up the window through my tint .
