Does anybody know of any tricks to fishing wires through the rubber gromets and into the door panels? I have to run the wires for my marker lights on my mirrors and it looks like it's going to be a pain the the backside to do so. :( Thought maybe someone on this site knew of a trick or special secret to doing the job.

I take a wire coat hanger apart and straighten it out. tie your wires to it and it pokes right through the grommets. pull them both through and untape the wires. I am no electrician, but it works for me.

take a large zip tie ,cut off the locking end. drill two holes at the end . feed the wire thru it tape it down and feed the tie thru the grommet and pull your new wire thru. ken

I use a wire "insertion" tool. It looks like a "fat" screwdriver that has a hollow shaft & handle. The tip is cut on an angle. Poke the tip through the rubber grommet, run the wire through it, remove the tool. The grommet closes back tight to the wire. It is an excellent tool for this purpose. It is made by " Thexton ", part number 436.
