Exhaust Question

Hello, Early 2004 5.9, If I pull the pump off I will need some kind of special fitting for the input to this factory filter unit? Source for fitting?

Also does the ecm monitor the factory lift pump amp draw? Wondering if I can run a separate circuit for an external fuel pump without wigging out the ECM ? I have a spare walbro gsl392 laying around Im going to try and get this truck running with.

I bought a ( GEM ) LOL of a 2004 and trying to work through the issues. I drove it home 300 miles and it sat for a week and wont start now. Pretty sure the lift pump isnt running

I looked on Genos garage and didnt see one but I found this adapter on Glacier

You can go to the dealer as it was an add-on for our year truck. They put a relay on the wiring to the intank pump.

The OEM part is incredibly expensive, i looked it up once, must be made of Gold.

FASS an the other suspicious sell it also for 50% less.

Other option would be buy the In-Tank Pump Unit upgrade from Mopar and have a decent setup.
These pumps are really reliable and long lasting.
With this upgrade you get all the parts needed and off of ebay or amazon they sell for a good price.

I installed the glacier fitting and rigged up a GSL392 pump and a FASS regulator temporarily and it works.

Im going to pull the tank this week anyway since I need to fix the sender wiring and RR the sender, rig up another return line from the new regulator, new fuel line, new filler hose and cap setup needs to be mounted to the CM flat bed instead of the stock one that is hanging by a rope...... Just bought this truck and lots of things to fix.

And I have a water sep and filter to make mounts for also. Fun.
